Multiling O Keyboard User's Manual

1. Top-Left Corner (Size & Position)

- You can drag here to move the keyboard around; add another finger at the bottom-right corner to resize the keyboard

2. Suggestion bar (Word prediction)

- In additional to picking suggestion, you can also slide it down to have more suggestions.
- Another use of this bar: Slide it up very far away to temporarily hide the keyboard

3. Normal keys

- Type or swipe here

4. Shift key

- Touch once to capitalize keys
- Touch and slide from this key to any letter keys for quicker shift
- Touch and slide to key for caps lock

5. Backspace (Edit mode)

- Acts like backspace or delete key when used normally
- When using touch and slide, it switches the keyboard to edit mode with arrows, copy, paste, cut, select, all, etc
- You may lock it by sliding to the lock key
- Combine select key with arrows keys to select text
- Use the transform keys to transform your text into another form

6. Tool keys

- Settings, instant toggles, theme (color & style), voice input, autotext, hide, etc. (see below for more...)

7. Comma key (slide for more symbols)

- Touch and slide for more symbols or letters.
- You may customize these symbols or letters under DIY(Do it yourself) layout

8. Space bar (slide for languages & layouts)

- Touch and slide for languages and layout settings (see below for more...)

9. Period key (slide for more punctuations)

- Touch and slide for more punctuations
- You may customize it under DIY layout (see below for more...)

10. Enter key (slide for emoji and smileys)

- Touch and slide for emojis, kaomojis, smileys, symbols
- You may customize under Settings -> Symbols




Period and Comma keys

- Touch and slide period or comma keys for other punctuations, diacritics or symbols
- You can customize these symbols under DIY layout






Tool Key

Touch and slide tool key to bring up these keys:




Settings

- This will bring up a settings page
- Word prediction settings
- Import and Export theme and settings
- Other settings

Color

- Mix colors and adjust transparency for this keyboard

Style

- Round or square
- Text size
- Key vertical and horizontal spacings (gaps)

Auto options

- Format punctuation: For example swap space and comma when they are not placed correctly
- Insert space after picking a word from suggestion bar
- Insert space between swipes so you can continue to swipe without pressing space bar

Split

- When screen is big enough, this key will toggle split mode

Predict

- Use this key to manually toggle the word prediction

Voice

- Use this key to switch to Google voice input

Autotext (shortcut)

- Use this key to configure your shortcuts (for example, bb-> be right back)

Help

- This key will bring you here to read this document

Plugins

- This key will bring you to a website to download plugins (language dictionaries, emoji, etc.)

Font

- Some languages font (for example Tibetan) are not included; use this key to bring up a special editor that supports special fonts

- This key will bring you to O Keyboard Google+ community
- You can send feedbacks, bug reports, or download themes there

Restart

- Restart the keyboard

Hide

- Besides using Android back button, you can also hide the keyboard using this key
- Tip: To hide temporarily, touch and slide suggestion bar very far up




Languages and Layouts

- Touch and slide space bar to bring up this keys


Languages

- If you don’t see your language, select this key to bring up a more languages menu

Other inputs

- In case you need to switch to other keyboards such as classic version of Multiling Keyboard, use this key to do that

Layouts

- If you don’t see your layout, select this key to bring up a more layouts menu
- The DIY (Do it yourself) layout is accesable via this key

123

- This key let you switch to the classic phone keypad

QWERTY 4-row

- If you don’t like 5-row keyboard, select this key to switch




Edit mode

-Touch and slide backspace/delete key to bring up these keys

- This key will transform your text into something like this

Translate

- This key will redirect you to a translation website

esc, tab, copy, paste, cut, all, home, end, arrows, del, enter

- These keys let you perform something similar to a PC

Select

- This key is similar to the PC shift key; it lets you manually select text (warning: some apps may not cooperate)

Lock

- Use this key to lock the edit mode


Emoji, Kaomoji & Smileys

- Touch and slide enter key to bring up these keys




- By selecting any key, O keyboard will suggest the similar emojis, and you can slide down the suggestion bar to see more
- You can customize the top row under Settings -> Symbols






Num Pad

- Touch and slide number key to direct access to letters

    3. Hold setting icon then release at Languages, then choose South East Asian font, you will see Khmer font

  3. I already have Urdu dictionary installed for multilingual and works fine with that. But it does not appear with multilingual O keyboard. Would you please advise how to fix it?

    Couldnt locate the setting to reactivate it either. Pls help..

  5. I think you have accidentally switch to QWERTY 4 row layout, to switch back, slide space bar and sepwct QWERTY

  7. In the 2ABC layout, is it possible to type using the traditional method of multiple key presses? For example, pressing the 2 key three times to get a 'c' instead of holding down the 2 key and sliding to the 'c' in the popup. Thanks.
