  1. I've been longing for this for years! Thank you!!
BTW, there's a very minor issue, with a space being (arguably) wrongly inserted before the word when the previous character is the opening of a pair, like "(", "{", "¿" or "¡", for instance. I hope it could be fixed.

  2. Thank you very much!!! The new spacing option is great! The additional options for cursor movement sound like they'll benefit many people too. I would like to suggest that when the option to add spaces before words is enabled (and the option to add them after is disabled): (1) spaces are not added after punctuation (such as {",", ";", ": ", ".", "!", "?", ")", "…"}), but before the next word if appropriate (the current behavior causes some problems when editing text after repositioning the cursor, as well as leaving a trailing space at the end of some bodies of text and between a punctuation mark and a trailing quotation mark — and seems inconsistent); (2) currently when a word in a body of text is selected for replacement, or the cursor has been repositioned — and then new a replacement word or word for insertion is swiped, sometimes a leading space is added before the word (with selection replacement the leading space gets underlined, with insertion it does not; this can occur even if the preceding character is a space, so it does not appear to be an effort to help with word spacing). For example, type "I was a robot…", then select "was" and swipe "am". The result can be the text "I am a robot…". This was happening consistently for me as I began writing this text, then inconsistently, and now seems to be occurring more consistently again as I continue writing. I would suggest to either (a) only ever insert a space before a swiped word if the cursor was positioned at the end of an alphanumeric characters sequence and not another space or punctuation, and to always be consistent in behavior, (b) never insert a space before swiped text, or (c) make an option to select between behavior a and b; (3) Currently, if a word is swiped, and then while it is still underlined, the shift key is toggled, a space is inserted before the word. Repeatedly toggling shift repeatedly inserts additional spaces before the word. I would suggest to never do this. Common use cases for toggling shift after another word, in for example English text, are to prepare for entry of proper names, the pronoun "I", and acronyms. Changing the capitalization of the current word's suggested alternatives when shift is toggled is fine and good, as also occurs.

    1. "I am a robot…" is intended to read like "I[space][space]am a robot…".

    5. Which comment/item I mentioned are you referring to? I just checked the "substitute multiple spaces into" setting option, and it was already blank (not even a space in the field. Thanks :)

    6. Ah, I think I understand. You may have read my second post as a standalone comment. It was only a correction to my first post. In the 2nd, I was trying to say that in my _first_ post, above it, Blogger removed a space that I had typed in the text and that was essential to the meaning of the issue I was describing. It was merely a clarification on how to read my first post. Thanks and I wish you a great day.

  4. I only like this keyboard because of it's customization and autotext. What I don't like about it is its prediction. Swiftkey is the opposite, it's only good because of it's predictions.
