In order to let more people enjoy (or suffer) this puzzle, I have ported Lotus*Root into HTML5.

Warning: Only tested in Chrome and Firefox. Probably would run on Safari. Doesn't run on IE.

Crazy Yin & Yang

I call this level "Crazy Yin & Yang" because I find it quite challenging (maybe it is just a piece of cake to you). Anyway, I figured out how to solve this level finally.

Lotus*Root Introduction

Lotus*Root Puzzle
***download the FREE lite version now on Android Market***
The goal of this game is to arrange the same-color “cells “in a “pie-slice” shape so that you have six “pie-slices”, each representing one of the six colors (see diagram).

Lotus*Root is inspired by the famous and wildly popular physical Rubik’s Cube. It is like Rubik’s Cube but in electronic, 2D, hexagonal environment which is designed to be playable on mobile devices. Similar to Rubik’s Cube, you can play it forever without becoming bored. Once you become proficient in solving the puzzle, the challenge then becomes the speed with which you can solve it.

The game has 1, 2, or 3 “spin-points” (points at which you can make the cells exchange position by clockwise or counter-clockwise rotations--see diagram). By the combination of choice among number of spin-points, choice of direction of spin and puzzle size, this adds to the complexity and challenge of the game by determining the levels of difficulty of the game (there are currently a maximum of 20 levels of difficulty in Lotus*Root--ranging from level 1 (“Super Easy S”)  to level 20 (“Einstein XL”).

Most puzzle games have a “block” design that permits only orthogonal (90 degree/ 4-sided) movements. This game’s design incorporates a more biologically natural shape that is hexagonal (6-sided), hence the name “Lotus*Root”, the cross-section view of which the game resembles. Furthermore, it allows 60-degree /6-sided movements, and hence more complex and more challenging for the game player.

Future development possibilities:
- Create a timer to track scores.
- Submit scores to an online server.
- Record movements and play them back.
- Undo movements. done
